Joining the MMC is easy. All we ask is that you come along to one of our monthly bus meets. If you enjoy your first outing, during which you will be considered a guest, you may wish to join us a second time. If so, the Membership Secretary will give you an application form. Once completed, it will be presented to the Committee for approval at their next monthly meeting.
The annual membership fee is currently £25, the bulk of which goes to fund individual third-party liability insurance through the Mountaineering Council of Scotland and includes a subscription to the MCofS’s monthly newsletter, Scottish Mountaineer.
Memberships become due for renewal in June, however new members will only be required to pay a pro-rata fee for the remaining months up to June.

I have just moved to Elgin from Wiltshire & would like to get involved with people with outdoor interests & a love of the hills! I have John Henderson’s number & will try to call him later today (Weds 14th) if that’s ok. My navigation skills are quite insignificant & I want to learn as much as I can.
I see you have some climbing enthusiasts & would like some more information about joining in.
If it is possible to come along please could you let me know.
